Working With Trauma & EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an integrative psychotherapy approach for the treatment of trauma. EMDR is very different from traditional talk therapy in that it is a set of standardized protocols which target past experience, current triggers and future potential challenges. The goals of EMDR are alleviation of trauma symptoms, improved view of the self and resolution of present and future triggers.

I use EMDR in conjunction with longer term depth therapy. I also offer EMDR to clients who already have a therapist and who wish to use EMDR to focus on specific events or issues as an adjunct to ongoing therapy.
